How to set up your Social Wall in a few clicks?

Right after your first connection, a new window “Create a new wall” will appear. Indicate the name of your operation. We recommend using the main hashtag of your operation. Click on “Create” to start your social media wall.

Then follow these steps:

1. WALL TITLE 
   The name you just chose for your wall will appear on that first line. You can modify it in that area; please note that it is limited to 30 characters.
2. HASHTAG(S)
   Define the hashtag(s) of your operation. Therefore the public posts linked to your operation will be gathered on your Social Wall thanks to our Hashtag tracking function. You are limited to 2 hashtags (to get more, please contact us).
3. YOUR CUSTOM URL
   The url will automatically take the name of your wall. The link for the Social Timeline will then be socialwall.me/mytitle. We recommend you to coordinate your URL with your hashtag (without the #). It will then be easier for your audience to remember if you wish to communicate on your Social Timeline, ex: #SocialWall16 = www.socialwall.me/socialwall16
4. POSTS OPERATION DATES
   The SocialWall.me team sets up the dates, therefore it will be impossible for you to change it manually. If you would like to extend the period, just reach your socialwall.me contact. Please note that to make your wall public, you need to click on the “Turn online your wall” section right before the “Save” button.
5. SOCIAL NETWORKS TO TRACK
   You can select the social network(s) you want to retrieve posts from: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or all three! You can now even connect a Slack channel. GIFs and customized emojis can be displayed on your social wall too, adding a lot more fun to your social wall. For a wider range, please contact us.
6. YOUR SOCIAL ACCOUNTS
   Complete with the URL redirecting to your official account(s)
7. TURN ONLINE YOUR WALL
   Just before clicking the “Save” button, activate your wall, otherwise it will remain private and you won’t be able to display any post on your social wall. You just need to click on the “OFF” tab to put it online. The tab will then become blue and will indicate “ON”. Your wall is now public and visible by everyone.
8. SAVE
   If you want your modifications to be taken into account, you must save them by clicking on the “Save” button. On a computer you will find it on the right side of the “Your Custom URL” section, and at the bottom of the page on your mobile, right before the “Save” button.

To be publicly visible, your Social Wall needs to be enabled manually

There are two options to activate your social media hub:

• DASHBOARD: head over to the first menu tab “Dashboard” and in “online”, click on the gray tab to turn the “ON” mode. It will be displayed in blue.
• PERSONNALISATION: You can also activate your wall in Custom > General and right above the “Save” tab, click on “Turn online your wall”.

The dashboard is available in English and French. Other languages will come soon. Don’t hesitate to mention it to our team members at SocialWall.me and we will do our best to assist you.

You need to activate your wall in the section “Turn online your wall” in Custom > General > Turn online your wall

Your modifications do not appear on the Social Live, Social Event, Social TV, Social Museum or Social Timeline?
Remember to clear your browser cache as follows :

• Chrome: click on the 3 gray lined icon in the right corner. Select “More tools” then “Clear browsing data”.
• PC: CTRL + SHIFT + delete.

Save all the modifications before exiting by clicking on “Save” tab. Menu Custom > General > Save :

• On a computer: The tab is located at the right bottom corner of the page down the tab “Customization of the wall”
• On mobile: the tab is located at the bottom of the page.

Your Social Wall can be modified at any moment, even live if you wish to change the auto-promotion visual to make a flash-announcement during your event (competition, arrival of a speaker, flash promo, live tweet, survey, WIFI password….)

To see the modifications, click on the “Save” tab then click on “Templates” and select the desired Social Wall display or refresh your browser’s window that contains your Social Live, Social Event, Social Timeline, Social TV or Social Museum.
